How My House Feels Like Home

I received Glad Odor Shield Kitchen Trash Bags free from the brand to review.

Spring is finally in full force and the cold, bitter days behind us.

This time of year, puts me in the mood for cleaning, and sprucing up the spaces in our house.  I enjoy finding and adding new pieces of decor to make our house a home.
There is something comforting about walking through that door, after a long day at work, knowing you are home.

Today, I'm sharing a few of my favorite home decor items that makes my house feel like home.  May you be inspired to make some home decor updates to your space.

Candles & Wax Melts

There is something comforting about the flickering light from a candle burning.  I love having my  favorite scent,  from a wax melt, filling the air.

Throw Pillows

Pillows add the perfect accent to a couch or chair, and  give my room that needed pop of color.  Who doesn't love an oversized throw pillow to lounge with, after a tough day at the office.  I know I do!

Curtains

I love hanging curtains to finish off the rooms in my house.  They help to make the space feel warm and cozy, making it feel like home. Curtains are wonderful for closing out the world, when I'm in need of unwinding and rejuvenating.

Wall Art

There is something about a blank wall, it's cold and sterile.  Wall Art, adds that personalization to my room, making my space feel like home.  Whether it's photographs, paintings, a hanging quilt, or decorative baskets, I have to have something on my walls for it to feel like home!

Before decorating, I perform a major spring cleaning, to include scrubbing walls, cleaning windows, dusting, cleaning all floors, vacuuming the furniture, and de-cluttering.

I received these Glad Kitchen Trash Bags free from the brand and BzzAgent to review.  They arrived at a perfect time, since I was ready to start my spring cleaning.  I love how these trash bags provide continuous odor elimination, and the fresh scent of Gain adds to the atmosphere!  It is great that I can prepare a meal, throw away the smelly scrap food (like onion skins, empty tuna can, and shells from hardboiled eggs) and no odor lingering in the air.  I want my house to smell fresh and clean, that's what makes it feel like home!  These Glad Trash Bags  do a great job with this! I love these bags so much that I also emptied all the trash cans in the house and replaced the liners with Glad OdorShield® with Gain™ bags.   I love how these trash bags provide continuous odor elimination, and the fresh scent of Gain adds to the atmosphere!

How do you make your house a home?  If you implement any of these ideas, I would love to hear about it!  You can comment here or catch up with me on any of my social media channels.

Until next time...

                   Enjoy Life!

  8. I love the flickering candles too. The weather is getting warmer which means odor is stronger and things spoil faster. These look like a great invention!

  11. Since having kids and having used disposable diapers, scented garbage bags are a must. Even with the kids out of diapers I continue to buy them. I also like using scented plugins. Thanks for sharing!
