Strawberry Banana Smoothie

Strawberry Banana Smoothie
Just the other week, I had a Smoothie, for the very first time.  Believe it or not, I have never had one, in my life before.  Why you ask?  Well, until a few weeks ago, I never owned a blender, either!

Yes, judge all you want, I'm a little behind the times!  I have always wanted to be the proud owner of a blender, it seemed there was always more important purchases to make.  You know, diapers & formula, then girl and boy scout uniforms, prom dresses, graduation attire, I think you get my point!  Since the teen is working now, and responsibly assisting with paying for his wants (not needs, we take care of those), I have some mad money of my own!

I was really excited to purchase this blender and try my hand at making a Smoothie.  I have seen quite a few recipes and even had conversations on Twitter with my blog SITStahs, about these luscious beverages.

Today, I'm sharing with you my version of a Strawberry Banana Smoothie.  It's quick & easy to make, gluten free, and milk free.
It's Smoothie Time
Strawberry Banana Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients:

1 Cup of Ice
6-7 Strawberries, cut in quarters
1 Ripe Banana, cut into 1/2" slices

Place the ice in the blender and crush.  Add the banana slices and strawberry quarters, blend on smoothie setting, about a minute.  Pour into a glass.  Enjoy!    (Serves 1)

What is your favorite smoothie?  Would love to hear from you!

Until next time...

              Enjoy Life!

  8. What I would do to have a smoothie right now.....especially my favorite kind of all-time, the strawberry/banana!! My gestational diabetes has such a hold on me right now that I can't have any of these for the next few months. Bummer! I will surely be looking forward to one this summer once I have the baby! Thanks for sharing your recipe....sounds delicious :)
